About The Beatles Archive
The Beatles Archive is an independent reference project that organizes and presents the complete catalogue of Beatles studio and home recordings for easy browsing and research.
What Is This Archive?
This site is built from The Complete Studio & Home Recordings, an extensive reference document that catalogues every known Beatles studio and home recording — both official releases and circulating unofficial recordings — from 1957 through 1971, plus later collaborations and reunions.
The original document draws from decades of collector research, discographies, bootleg catalogues, and broadcast archives. This website transforms that reference material into a structured, searchable, browseable archive experience.
What You’ll Find
- Chronological organization — Recordings organized by year, from the earliest Quarrymen sessions through the breakup
- Every known version — Official releases, alternate takes, mono and stereo mixes, remasters, and circulating bootleg recordings
- Session details — Recording dates, take numbers, mix information, and technical notes
- Visual materials — Images and documents from across the recording years
- Appendices — Stereo/mono mix details, UK release information, vinyl pressing notes
